Care & Cleaning

Care & Cleaning

Correct care and cleaning of your Flawless Motion shoulder brace is important for comfort, hygiene, and long-term performance. Following the guidance below helps maintain the materials and fastening systems and supports the intended function of the brace.

Cleaning Instructions

Important

Always clean your brace according to the instructions below. Incorrect washing or drying methods may damage the materials and reduce the effectiveness and lifespan of the brace.

  • Hand wash only
Gently hand wash the brace in cool or lukewarm water.
  • No detergents or cleaning agents
Do not use detergents, soaps, bleach, fabric softeners, disinfectants, or stain removers. These products can degrade the materials and affect skin comfort.
  • Rinse thoroughly
Ensure all residue is removed using clean water only.
  • Drip dry / air dry only
Allow the brace to drip dry naturally in a well-ventilated area. Do not wring or twist the brace.

What Not to Do

  • Do not machine wash
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not dry clean
  • Do not iron
  • Do not expose to direct heat sources (radiators, heaters, hair dryers)
  • Do not use chemical cleaners or disinfectants

Drying & Storage

Once dry, store your brace in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight. Ensure the brace is fully dry before reuse or storage to help prevent odour and material degradation.

Avoid prolonged exposure to heat, moisture, or UV light, as this may shorten the lifespan of the materials.

Skin Care & Comfort

If you experience skin irritation:

  • Ensure the brace is clean and fully dry before wearing
  • Check that straps are not over-tightened
  • Discontinue use if irritation persists and seek advice from a healthcare professional

Do not apply creams, oils, or lotions directly under the brace, as these may affect grip and material integrity.
